Day 1: Dimapur To Kohima
Arrive at Dimapur and drive up to Kohima, an enjoyable 3-hour ddrive through the plains and hills of Nagaland. After checking in at your stay, time permitting, step out to get a feel of the city.

If you reach before it gets dark, the evening is mostly free.
Day 2: Kohima Local Tour To Khonoma (Half Day) To Kohima [Guided Tour]
Begin the day with a relaxed Kohima tour covering the Cathedral, viewpoints, and town landmarks. Start with a visit to the World War II Cemetery for context to the region’s wartime history. Explore the local market, the rhythms of everyday life, fresh produce, smoked meats, and bamboo craft.

Post lunch, head to Khonoma, India’s first Green Village, known for its conservation practices and strong community traditions. Walk through terraced fields, Morungs, and clan spaces while learning about its unique blend of history and sustainability. Return to Kohima for the evening.

Day 3: Kohima To Kigwema To Kisama To Kohima
Drive to Kigwema village, a scenic Angami village with traditional homes and rich origin legends. Continue to Kisama Heritage Village, the venue where the iconic Hornbill Festival happens every year. While at Kisama, explore the Morungs of major Naga tribes. With your guide by your side, offering insights into architecture, symbolism, and cultural identity, explore the all the big and small morungs.

Return to Kohima by evening. Time permitting, take a detour to the Kohima Cathedral for gorgeous sunset views of Kohima town.
Day 4: Kohima To Touphema To Mokokchung
Start early and head towards Mokokchung, stopping at Touphema, a community-run heritage village preserving Angami settlement patterns and stories. Continue the drive through rolling hills and forested stretches, arriving in Mokokchung by late afternoon. Relax or take a short orientation walk in the town.

Day 5: Mokokchung (Guided Tour – Ao Naga Villages)
Spend the day exploring the Ao Naga heartland. Visit Ungma, one of the oldest Ao settlements, followed by Longkhum, known for its panoramic views and its roots in historic warrior routes. Interact with community elders or artisans (subject to availability) and explore Morungs, log drums, clan structures, and heritage sites.

Return to Mokokchung for the evening.
Day 6: Mokokchung To Dimapur
Start early after breakfast, retracing your route back to Dimapur. Trip ends with drop.
